Working today to build a better tomorrow
There's much to see here. So, take your time, look around, and learn all there is to know about us. We hope you enjoy our site and take a moment to drop us a line.
We are sorry to announce that due to lack of funding and increased needs we are no longer able to offer financial assistance for rent or utilities.
We are not a shelter and do not offer housing.
We will continue to offer our street outreach Friday mornings at the Link Transit Hub parking lot in downtown Burlington, where we offer anyone coffee, snacks, socks and toiletries.
We will also continue our Load for the Road laundry service at Page's Laundromat Wednesday mornings for those who are homeless.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we navigate this difficult time.
Please help support our weekly street outreach where we get to know our homeless friends and others in the community by giving out coffee, snack bags, toiletries and socks. Our snack bags cost $2.25 each and we serve 15-30 people each week. You can help by rounding up at Walmart or purchasing on our registry. Click the Donate button below to be taken to our Walmart Spark Good page.
Please consider donating to our laundry service that meets at Page's Laundromat every Wednesday at 10:30 where we provide detergent and pay for washing and drying clothes for those who can't afford it. An easy way to help is to collect your quarters and we will meet for pickup!

If a person is denied we work with a local lawyer to appeal the decision. Interested in helping us meet with our clients? We are in need of quiet space with privacy. We currently meet with people in the library. Thank you for your support!

Disclaimer: We are still a small nonprofit and can only offer referrals and minimal financial help at this time. Please see the pictures below for United Way's list of resources in Alamance County.
Alamance County property owners have raised their rent recently and due to this and stagnant salaries there is an increase in not only homeless individuals, but families and single parents with multiple children. We hope to help eradicate this by working with area agencies and other non-profits to help find solutions. One way we do this is by serving on committees, another is by raising community awareness. But the most important work we do, is meeting people where they are at and loving them unconditionally.
Why we do what we do! Please check out these statistics...
We are a charitable 501(c)3 nonprofit organization in Alamance County, NC focused on helping make the world around us a better, happier place. With proper funding we wanted to provide quality affordable housing; access to counseling, education, & food; and most importantly show unconditional love to the impoverished. By using a "housing first" model we hoped to give people a fresh start . After COVID hit and the prices of housing materials skyrocketed we realized that we will not be able to build our own housing. Instead we are partnering with area agencies in hopes to eradicate homelessness.
Are you passionate about what we want to do? Let us know! We are always looking for volunteers to help us make our vision a reality. We'll help you find a way to volunteer that best suits you. We're excited to have you join the team!
Whether you help through donations, volunteering your time, or spreading our mission through word-of-mouth, thank you. We couldn't accomplish our goals without the help of supporters like you.
